The Project Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing service project opportunities with both existing clients and new prospects. This individual will play a key role in expanding our service footprint by offering tailored solutions that address customer needs related to repair, replacement, and system improvement projects. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with consultative selling skills and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Prospect and qualify opportunities for service projects within the existing client base and through new business development.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including facility managers, engineers, and procurement personnel.
- Understand customer objectives and constraints to deliver solutions that align with operational and financial goals.
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets through disciplined pipeline development and conversion.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand visibility and generate leads.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather detailed information for estimating and proposal development.
- Collaborate with service superintendents, estimators, and engineers to design accurate scopes of work.
- Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations that clearly outline benefits, costs, and timelines.
- Address technical questions and financial objections, focusing on value creation and ROI for the client.
- Ensure all proposals are compliant with internal policies and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with service operations, project management, and field teams to ensure successful handoff and project execution.
- Participate in internal planning meetings to align on execution strategies, schedules, and customer expectations.
- Provide timely updates to leadership on pipeline status, sales forecasts, and project tracking.
- Maintain regular contact with customers during and after project execution to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer questions or concerns during the sales and transition phases.
- Keep detailed records of client interactions, opportunities, and project progress in the company's CRM platform.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive offerings, and emerging trends in mechanical service and construction.
- Provide feedback to management on pricing models, service offerings, and go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas where internal processes or service packages could be refined to enhance competitiveness.
