Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0 Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embodying the company's core values.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care.
• Identify teaching needs and goals through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, prioritizing patient education based on identified healthcare needs.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care and patient safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to the functioning of the unit through teamwork and efficient communication.
• Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment to effectively complete assigned duties.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed following orientation.
• Pursue professional development through education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities for effective use of time and resources.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific location only).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
• ICU experience preferred.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift with 3x12 hour shifts.
