Job DetailsThe Supervisor, Production TEG is responsible for managing shift production staff and workflow to consistently meet or exceed shift production schedules, delivering the highest quality product, whilst ensuring the safety of all personnel on shift. The shift supervisor will have overall responsibility for the shift - from warehousing, bag manufacture, components, harness assembly and BMB (including molding).
This role requires shift flexibility to work 5:30AM - 2:30PM plus/minus two hours.
Provide leadership and direction to Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, and Assemblers.
Manage staffing of temporary employees in conjunction with outside staffing agencies.
Ensure subordinate performance meets quality and productivity standards, with appropriate disciplinary actions as needed.
Conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
Investigate and resolve employee conflicts in partnership with the Production Supervisor and Human Resources.
Make hiring, disciplinary, termination, demotion, and promotion recommendations.
Monitor shift operations to ensure standards are met, with minimal downtime and waste, and full utilization of machines, materials, and equipment.
Publish reports on quality and productivity performance.
Hold regular meetings with direct reports.
Train and develop staff in problem-solving, print reading, basic math, SPC, computer skills, GMPs, etc.
Increase labor efficiency and machine utilization through effective workforce management.
Lead continuous improvement activities in manufacturing areas.
Assist with engineering tests and protocols for quality improvement projects.
Complete and document PIRs, CAPAs, and NCMRs promptly.
Reduce in-process inventory and improve batching processes.
Provide skills training and promote teamwork among employees.
Ensure departmental documentation reflects current practices and update as needed.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in molding or medical devices.
