The Fulfillment & Delivery Team Member at Commonplace Coffee is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently carrying out the order fulfillment process from start to finish and making wholesale deliveries. They will package, ship, and deliver products with craft and care that represents Commonplace Coffee's commitment to honoring the coffee supply chain and satisfying our consumers' needs. They will work closely with our Production Team to ensure guests and partners enjoy a superior coffee experience.

The Fulfillment & Delivery Team Member must understand the value of effective customer communication and account management as they are the face of Commonplace Coffee when delivering products. They must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess operational skills with a continuous desire to learn.

Essential Functions

• Accurately and efficiently fulfill coffee orders. This includes, but is not limited to, labeling, dating, filling, sealing, weighing, counting, grinding, packing, and shipping.
• Maintain a respectful and positive work environment for all employees.
• Represent the mission and values of Commonplace Coffee.
• Observe and uphold company policies.
• Coordinate and communicate all necessary order details with the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager.
• Communicate inventory levels frequently and accurately to the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager.
• Communicate and properly record maintenance needs for equipment and vehicles with the Facilities Lead.
• Communicate wholesale client feedback and client care information to the Wholesale Manager.
• Answer and route phone calls to headquarters as appropriate.
• Obey all traffic laws and constantly stay alert while driving.
• Prepare for upcoming orders by completing tasks such as labeling, sorting, building boxes, or gathering products.
• Observe and maintain cleaning procedures for the fulfillment space and headquarters as assigned.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be organized and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Desire to increase coffee knowledge, operational skills, and greater responsibility in Commonplace Coffee.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Consistent demonstration of integrity and reliability.
• Ability to work efficiently in an environment with noise and distractions.
• Ability to solve complex problems with multiple variables.
• Experience working in a warehouse or production setting.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk - must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hour shifts.
• Sitting and driving - must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time in a vehicle.
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters and knives.
• Carry weight, lift - must be able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently and team-lift up to 150 pounds occasionally.
• Perform repetitive tasks - must be able to complete repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and forearms to operate packaging equipment and vehicles.
• Oral Communication - must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with team members.
• This role involves using your hands: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, and repetitive motion.
• Body movements may include bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
• Ability to use warehouse equipment, including handcarts, pallet jacks and ladders.

Work Environment

• Work is performed at Commonplace Coffee Headquarters/Roastery and in the field.
• This job involves exposure to green and roasted coffee dust and warehouse equipment noise.
• There is exposure to temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
• This job involves high amounts of customer interaction.

• None.

Additional Details

• Hourly, Full-time; 40 hours per week.
• This position reports to the Warehouse & Fulfillment Manager.
