Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: Hybrid (flexible in-office/remote structure)

The Role
We are seeking an Employee Benefits Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to advise employers on the design, compliance, and administration of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements. This associate will play a key role in day-to-day counseling, transactional support, and regulatory compliance matters.
Core Practice Areas
- ERISA compliance and fiduciary governance
- Qualified retirement plans (401(k), pension, profit-sharing plans)
- Health and welfare plans (medical, dental, vision, disability, cafeteria plans)
- Executive compensation and incentive arrangements
- Equity compensation (stock options, RSUs, performance-based awards)
- Nonqualified deferred compensation (Section 409A)
- COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA compliance
- Employee benefits issues in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings
- Benefits considerations in reductions in force and reorganizations
- Draft and review plan documents, SPDs, amendments, and summaries
- Advise employers on IRS and Department of Labor compliance requirements
- Assist with benefit plan audits and government inquiries
- Support corporate transactions through benefits due diligence and integration
- Counsel clients on fiduciary duties, risk management, and best practices
- Collaborate with corporate, tax, and employment teams on cross-disciplinary matters
- PA license
- 2-5 years of experience practicing employee benefits and executive compensation law
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA and related federal regulations
- Experience with retirement and health & welfare plans preferred
- Pennsylvania bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
