Fire Suppression Systems Designer
Topa Group, Inc. is partnered with a reputable Fire Protection company in Pittsburgh - we're seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Systems Designer to support the design and coordination of fire suppression systems for commercial and industrial projects. This role focuses on producing accurate, code-compliant designs that meet NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design fire suppression systems including clean agent, kitchen hood, and specialty systems
- Prepare shop drawings, layouts, and hydraulic calculations
- Review project documents and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams
- Ensure designs comply with NFPA codes and local regulations
- Support submittals, revisions, and as-built documentation
Qualifications:
- Experience designing fire suppression systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar design software)
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- NICET certification (layout/design) preferred but not required
