The Department of Economics & Finance within the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate Statistics courses on a rolling basis. The ideal candidate will be committed to student learning and able to teach applied, business-focused statistical concepts. Adjunct faculty are expected to bring diverse perspectives and practical experience to the classroom, contributing to the School's mission of developing sought-after business leaders who possess the ethical character, Spiritan mindset, and solutions-oriented skills needed to be global difference makers.

Primary Responsibilities

* Teach assigned undergraduate Statistics courses in an in-person format.

* Deliver high-quality instruction using innovative and inclusive pedagogical strategies.

* Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.

* Coordinate, as appropriate, with full-time faculty to ensure course content aligns with program goals.

* Maintain availability for student consultation and support outside of scheduled class time.

* Be a good citizen of the University and promote the mission of the University.

Qualifications

* Earned master's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a closely related Business discipline (with appropriate statistics coursework).

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Enthusiasm for working with students.

Preferred

* Earned doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.

* Minimum of 2-3 years of college/university-level teaching experience.

* Experience teaching applied/business statistics or using statistical software (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SPSS, Stata) is a plus.
