DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is assigned to the Department of Environmental Protection, Southwest Regional Office's Central Services Department and performs primarily as the receptionist for the Pittsburgh Office. In this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will answer all incoming calls, screens and directs them to the proper individual/program contact, district field office or outside agency. Receives visitors and provides regional assistance and information or directs them to appropriate personnel or agency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.

* Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

* Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.

* Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

* Graduation from high school; or

* An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.
