Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys hands-on work, collaboration, and contributing to timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close
The Staff Accountant will perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger account reconciliations
Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
The Staff Accountant will maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
The Staff Accountant will analyze variances and assist with account analysis
Support process improvements and special projects as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of accounting experience (public or private)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
CPA track or public accounting experience is a plus
