A well-established and industry-leading organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and drive continuous improvement across the department. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys managing a team, strengthening processes, and ensuring accuracy across all financial activities.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Manage fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost allocations as applicable to the business.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Assist with audit preparation and act as a key liaison with external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on financial analysis, project costing, and operational improvements.
• Lead or participate in special projects, including system upgrades, process optimization, and automation initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
• Experience with in a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based environment strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
