The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing Hometown Hospitality and delivering Fun for restaurant guests. The role maintains a high standard of cleanliness according to food service sanitation codes, has extensive menu knowledge, takes guest orders, anticipates their needs, delivers orders and tender payment. Focus on departmental goals of Consistency, Quality, and Sense of Urgency.
General Accountabilities- Be punctual to pre‑shift meeting with a positive attitude and open participation.
- Consistently provide Hometown Hospitality, deliver Fun, and live core values of Fun, Friendly, and Community.
- Comply with department standards, guidelines, and objectives including Food Service, Sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
- Wash hands frequently.
- Provide consistent high quality food and beverage service to all guests, adhering to sequence of service standards correctly. Utilize upselling techniques.
- Operate the Point of Sale System per training.
- Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.
- Have complete knowledge of restaurant and bar menus.
- Participate in departmental cross‑training exercises (Hostess, Bus Person, etc.).
- Clean as you go, clean spills immediately, use chemicals responsibly, ensure proper labeling.
- Assist supervisor in putting supplies away following 5S principles and date items.
- Conduct conduct in a gracious, kind, warm manner that reflects company values of Fun, Family, and Community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
In addition to general duties, each Team Member:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain required license(s).
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take steps to prevent minors from gambling, loitering, drinking alcohol, or purchasing tobacco in gambling areas.
- Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the department.
- Know Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
- Consult appropriate individuals and maintain effective written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Investigate exceptions, fraud, potential violations, report instances to appropriate management levels.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of a Team Member.
