Find your calling at Mercy! The Nurse Navigator is a nursing specialist who follows patients across the continuum of care. The Navigator coordinates with an advanced level of clinical expertise, all aspects of treatment and care for, and in collaboration with, Mercy’s patients, their family and significant others, physicians, interdisciplinary team, and other support staff.
Minimum Qualifications- Education:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing - Experience:
2 years related experience - Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice
- Certification(s): BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire
- Education:
Bachelor of Science Nursing - Experience:
3 years in an oncology setting preferred - Formal patient education and community educational presentations
- Support group facilitation
- Certification(s):
Certification in Oncology Nursing or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
