Overview

The Director of Development reports directly to the Chaplain and is responsible for leading and managing the fund development program, raising funds for the ministry and programs of St. Pius X Catholic Student Center and managing all committees involved in fund development activities.

The main component of the position is the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewarding of donors and all corresponding documentation of such. This involves monthly in-person meetings with individuals within these four categories. Considering all alumni, parents, benefactors and friends of St. Pius X are potential spiritual and financial supporters, the Director of Development also oversees the newsletter, social media, and mailings, as well as execution of the annual fundraiser, annual appeal, matching gift day, and giving Tuesday.

This position demands creativity, organization, and a joyful spirit to communicate the love of Jesus Christ to students, parents, alumni, and benefactors. Likewise, time for personal prayer is allowed within the workday and encouraged.
