Position DescriptionThis position has primary responsibility for the assessment of behavioral health disorders, development of treatment plans, coordination, delivery of services via individual and family therapy, documentation, and service utilization management for assigned clients. The Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) may provide clinical direction to the case management team as needed.
Requirements- The Clinically Licensed QMHP must be licensed in Kansas by BSRB and maintain all credential requirements, including continuing education. Licensure requirements: LSCSW, LCPC, LCMFT, LCP, or reciprocity from another state.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass TB Screen Test and Medical Evaluation, pre‑employment background checks.
- Valid driver’s license.
Skills and Abilities
- Complete evidence‑based practice training and certifications (in‑person, online, webinars, workshops, self‑directed).
- Obtains Certification for Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training and understands controlled movements, restraint techniques.
- First Aid CPR Training.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate clients, gather diagnostic information, produce accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Follow dress code policies for alternative work locations (schools, jails, courts, etc.).
- Collaborate with clients and participants to create comprehensive treatment plans and assess ongoing needs using measurement‑based tools, reviewing and updating every 90 days.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy; conduct services in office or community settings; document services within 72 hours.
- Initiate discharge planning at evaluation, assess progress, document outcomes, and provide follow‑up recommendations.
- Monitor utilization of treatment resources, ensure appropriateness, participate in utilization review and peer review.
- Respond to crisis or emergency needs, consulting with crisis team and community providers.
- Maintain complete and timely written records of all treatment activities and comply with documentation and NOMS collection requirements.
- Shadow, mentor, and supervise practicum students or interns per university documentation requirements.
- Lift 25‑50 pounds occasionally.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Bend, stoop, or kneel frequently.
- Reach overhead and handle equipment.
- Get on the floor and rise without assistance.
- Full mobility in both arms and shoulders.
- Additional duties as necessary and as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
