Job Description AboutThe Role
We're looking for a skilled Manual and CNC Machinist with hands‑on experience in lathe and manual machining to join our growing manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in transitioning projects from development to production, assembling and testing precision mechanical components, and ensuring on‑time delivery for our customers. Responsibilities- Assist in the transition of parts and assemblies from development to full‑scale production.
- Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical components according to drawings, models, and written procedures.
- Collaborate with production leads, supervisors, and QA teams to ensure timely and accurate output.
- Troubleshoot and correct issues through modification, rework, and repair.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Set up and operate precision tools including manual lathes and gauges.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Perform daily equipment maintenance and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial manufacturing, machining, or assembly.
- Proficiency with manual lathes (CNC experience a plus, but computerized‑only machining does not apply).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs and perform repetitive work.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Trade school, technical certification, or degree in a related field.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record in manual lathe machining and precision manufacturing.
