Saiia Construction, a Mas Tec company, is currently hiring for a Heavy Equipment Operator with 10+ years of Excavator / Dozer experience in the Pittsburg, TX area.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for, but not limited to, operating heavy equipment including excavator, dozers, graders, dump trucks, front-end loaders, compactors, scrapers, and water trucks to move materials to and from designated areas. Participate in required training and ensure all established safety rules, procedures, policies, OSHA and MSHA regulations are followed.

ResponsibilitiesExcavator Operation
- Operates excavator to dig holes and trenches, remove and transport earth, gravel, and other materials. Starts engine, moves levers and foot controls to control hydraulic shovel or attachments, uses bucket to dig trenches and holes of specified dimensions. May need to use GPS grade technology.
Bulldozer – Grader Operator
- Operates bulldozer or grader to level, distribute, and remove soil and other materials. Uses levers and pedals to maneuver, raises, lowers, and tilts blade and attachments. May need to use GPS grade technology.
Rock / Articulated / Dump / Roll Off Truck Driver
- Operates truck with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, soil, rock, gravel, coal, ore, and industrial byproducts. Pulls levers or turns crank, moves hand and foot controls. May be designated according to material type and project.
Front-End Loader Operator
- Operates rubber-tired or track loader to lift and transport bulk materials, load trucks, and dump material. Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, turns steering wheel, moves levers to lower and tilt bucket.
Compactor Operator
- Operates heavy rolling machine to compact soil, sand, rock, gravel, or industrial byproducts to required compaction. Controls machine by moving levers, pressing pedals, and guiding with hand wheels. Determines speed and direction based on material compressibility.
Scraper / Tractor Operator
- Operates tractor-drawn or self-propelled scraper to move, haul, and grade earth. Controls loading gate, adjusts depth of cut, raises, and closes the pan or bowl, and spreads or dumps earth.
Water Truck Driver
- Operates truck to transport water for construction projects, fill potable water for crews, and spray water on roadways to control dust. Performs inspections, service, and adjustments on the water truck.
- Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, MSHA and other related state and federal regulations.
- OSHA 10, 30, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use email, smartphone, tablet, or computer to manage company information and documents.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance standards per employee handbook.
