Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization on a contract basis to provide coverage for a Leave of Absence. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial operations and supporting month-end close during a high-volume production cycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can step in seamlessly to support the team.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process

+ Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

+ Maintain and reconcile inventory and cost accounting

+ Assist with standard costing and variance analysis (labor, overhead, materials)

+ Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

+ Support financial reporting and management analysis

+ Partner with operations and plant leadership on inventory and production reporting

+ Assist with audit support and documentation

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

Requirements

+

Experience with standard costing and BOM structures

+ Experience supporting external audits

+ Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
