The Event Team at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is continuously growing and expanding! We are seeking a gracious, thoughtful, and motivated part-time Banquet & Events Server who can create a sense of luxury while executing guest events. We look forward to connecting with you!

Position Summary

The Banquet & Events Server is to ensure guest satisfaction of all who attend banquet functions at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa. Going above and beyond, as needed, to create a unique experience for our guests.

Essential Functions of the Job
  • To set-up, break-down, clean-up all event functions (Tables, Chairs, Linen, AV, Umbrellas, Etc.)
  • Serve & Bus all Event Food & Beverage (Buffets, Plated Meals, Tray Passed Food, Etc.)
  • To demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service
  • Learn to read BEO's and prioritize tasks
  • Follow Cliffs Standards of Excellence
  • Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and co-workers
  • Adjust to changing needs and priorities
  • Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/move continuously for the duration of the shift (eight hours).
  • Regular heavy lifting required (50 pounds or more). Ability to carry service trays.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in high stress situations.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects
Education, Experience, Skills
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Food & Beverage Experience, Preferred
  • Excellent Command of English language
  • Energetic/Motivated/Reliable/Adaptable/Responsible/Efficient/Committed/Friendly
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certified
