Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst in Piscataway, NJ.
Job Details:
* Work with company financial systems and processes to provide cost data in formats necessary to control the project
* Develop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systems
* With financial terminology and measures, recognize the financial impact of various project actions
* Assist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues
* Utilize drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data
* Develop knowledge of accounting principles
* Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting
* Prepare analysis of progress trends and cost impact
* Participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices
* Collect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations
* Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
* Assist in tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures
* Assist with the creation of baseline budgets
* Support the project reporting process
* Participate in project cost review meetings
* Gather data for procedure development
* 50% domestic travel required to client sites in the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
* Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week within the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
* Full-time
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
* Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
* Primavera P6
* Project Management Information Systems, including Procore
* Oracle JDE
* InEight estimating software
* Business Intelligence / Reporting / Dashboarding tools including Power BI / Tableau
