Key job responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development Lead a team of Visual Designers creating medium to high-complexity design deliverables
Manage day-to-day operations including resource planning, staffing, and quality control
Oversee hiring and training of new team members
Define, recognize and develop talent while creating an inspiring creative work environment
Build, coach and mentor high-class design teams
Actively bring out the best in designers, developing both individual designers and team dynamics
Design Excellence and Quality Ensure customer experience is always at the forefront of design deliverables
Introduce, develop, and ensure best design practices and processes
Communicate quality expectations organizationally
Deliver cohesive and innovative design that is customer-focused, simple and intuitive
Inspire team to raise the creative bar by developing effective brand experiences
Operational Efficiency and Process Optimization Ensure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, and analysis
Provide feedback on performance data on a regular basis
Collect, track, and present metrics related to processes, team accuracy and efficiency
Drive improvements in efficiency, throughput and cost across the organization
Continuously evaluate tools and processes and offer solutions for efficiency and scalability
Encourage team to innovate, automate and build efficiencies in delivery and quality

We're growing quickly and hiring the best talent to drive our creative vision forward. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Amazon Music Creative Production team as a Design Manager leading a group of Visual Designers creating digital marketing assets. You will serve as a central operational leader, building the frameworks, quality standards, and cross-functional collaboration mechanisms required to successfully deliver high volumes of digital assets while maintaining exceptional quality.
About the team
The Creative Production team at Amazon Music is an operationally-driven design production team of designers, campaign project managers, QA specialists and operations managers responsible for creating and delivering high volumes of digital assets. We partner closely with internal global stakeholders and external agents to provide operational support while delivering high quality assets in a fast-paced, agile, dynamic multinational environment.
Basic Qualifications Self-starter with ability to work in ambiguous situations4+ years of industry experience in visual design or related creative discipline
Demonstrated ability to hire and develop employees
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Prior experience managing design teams with progression advertising campaign experience
Demonstrated proficient written and speaking English communication skills
Experience analyzing metrics accurately and building models around data to provide solutions
Experienced in client facing roles handling accounts or campaigns
Proficiency in design principles (Typography, Composition, Scale, and Color Theory)
Proficiency in design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop Artboards)
Thorough knowledge of design practices, tools, and standards
Experience in design, digital production, and project management of print and digital advertising products
Portfolio and assessment are required
Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating to a diverse, global audience
Experience with performance marketing creative
