Material Handler - Low

A Material Handler regularly performs routine to moderately advanced production activities to maintain the flow of work under limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Transport, load, unload, and store steel coils in appropriate locations using various equipment (Forklift, Crane, etc.).
• Inspect and assist in packaging coils as needed and manage scrap.
• Completes required paperwork/system input for each product.
• Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety, and policy manuals); ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
• High School or equivalent. Crane and Forklift certification required.

• High school or equivalent
• Forklift and Crane Operator certification required.
• Prior metals experience preferred.

Shift: Monday - Friday - 2nd shift (2:15 pm – 10:30 pm)
