Description
Actalent is supporting a growing manufacturer of custom industrial equipment in their search for a CAD Designer. This role focuses on transforming engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and production‑ready designs using Solid Works. We’re seeking a detail‑oriented CAD Designer with strong Solid Works experience to develop 2D and 3D drawings from sketches, notes, or specifications. The ideal candidate will apply engineering knowledge and CAD skills to support design modifications, documentation, and production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D models and assembly drawings from sketches, design notes, or specifications.
- Develop and update models using Solid Works.
- Apply correct tolerances and GD&T to ensure parts can be manufactured and assembled without issues.
- Translate design requirements into precise dimensions and tolerances for production.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to manage design changes and updates, including processing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Ensure all drawings clearly communicate dimensions, materials, and assembly intent for production.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards and internal documentation procedures.
- Revise and optimize designs based on feedback and production requirements.

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Drafting, or similar field
- Experience designing customer equipment/machinery
- Press designing experience
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
