Overview

Join Sprouts Farmers Market as an Assistant Deli Manager, leading a fast‑paced, customer‑focused deli team. You will help customers make healthy food choices by providing outstanding service while managing a busy department.

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Handle ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervise the deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Support hiring, training, and development of deli staff.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, and validate that team members follow procedures.
• Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and contribute to an exceptional customer experience.

• 18+ years old with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Flexible schedule availability: nights, weekends, holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to give and receive direction.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and customer interaction skills.
• Leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff with knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Strong focus on detail, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Food Safety certification and adherence to federal, state, and company regulations regarding product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to lift/carry product weighing up to 70 lbs. from 4” to 60” for a distance up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Ability to stand continuously for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment; maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Hourly $19.50 – $29.15. Sprouts determines pay based on experience and qualifications.
