Life Tutors is available both in-person and nationwide. We are seeking to add a new coach (1099 contractor) to our team.
This position is located in the Charlotte area, specifically near Pineville and downtown Charlotte.
We are looking for one male coach (per clients’ request) with a background, experience, and/or education in:
- supporting folks in social/relational skill development
- building executive functioning skills
- supporting career/academic goals
- Bonus points if you are into K-Pop and anime!
Our coaching sessions are in-person and take place at home, at school & in the community wherever our participants' goals are. We work in coach teams, alternating appointments and gathering/sharing information with a greater network of supporters with the permission & of the participant. Travel to meet the client will be required. We encourage those with a strong clinical background in social work, mental/behavioral health, and occupational therapy to apply.
Life Tutors is a nationally accredited, goal-oriented, and outcome-driven coaching support program for young adults building independence.
- Conduct individual coaching sessions with clients to develop personalized goal plans.
- Provide support to clients in achieving their goals, such as academics, employment, independent living, managing their own medication, and more.
- Utilize a variety of techniques and modalities to address clients' unique needs.
- Collaborate with leadership, fellow coaches, and families as needed.
- Travel to meet the client will be required.
- Keep accurate records of client progress, notes, and maintain confidentiality of participant information.
- Participate in earning in-house coaching certification and training.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a human services related field, such as psychology, counseling, social work, or education, or ICF/BCC/similar coaching certification
- Experience working in mental or behavioral health with young adults
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Empathy and an accepting approach to supporting young adults in transition
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
