We are seeking an intelligent, motivated, experienced and personable attorney to join our in-house Legal Department to support a dynamic, diverse group of companies on a growth trajectory. The Senior Corporate Counsel (Construction) ("Senior Counsel") reports to and assists the General Counsel on all legal matters affecting the Crest Companies with a particular focus on Beta Engineering, our EPC contractor. The Senior Counsel is a generalist role handling a wide variety of legal matters affecting Beta Engineering, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts; proposing and managing risk mitigation strategies;
advising on legal matters such as intellectual property, licensing, insurance and taxation, as well as business matters such as compliance, organizational development and business development. The individual in this role must be adaptable, engaged, and focused on supporting business operations. He/she will have direct interaction with all management levels of Beta Engineering and its affiliates, including senior executives, as well as with outside counsel, customers, suppliers, and other external parties.
- Advise clients on construction law matters, including contract negotiation, project management, and regulatory compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents
- Provide strategic legal counsel on risk management and dispute avoidance
- Manage and direct outside counsel in construction-related disputes, including litigation, arbitration and mediation
- Stay current with industry developments and legal trends to provide informed and effective advice
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and providing tailored legal solutions

- Five or more years of relevant legal experience in Construction/EPC, Project finance, or Complex commercial contracts
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for the organization’s interests while preserving business relationships
- Ability to reduce complex legal issues into manageable concepts for practical business assessments
- Ability to work independently and proactively, manage competing priorities and deadlines, exercise sound judgment, think creatively, and take ownership of issues and matters through their successful conclusion
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a good sense of humor, patience and an ability to maintain an even keel
- Share the company’s purpose and values, including high ethical standards, teamwork, customer service mindset, and positive attitude
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to Louisiana bar or ability to become admitted within six months of hire date (In-House Counsel admission acceptable)
Pineville, Louisiana (on-site). Hybrid/remote option to be considered for the right candidate.
Working ConditionsWill work primarily in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. Some domestic travel may be required less than 10% of the time. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, and walking. Mental requirements include problem solving, concentration, oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
SalarySenior Corporate Counsel (Construction): $150,000-$210,000
