Key Responsibilities- Champion a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Assist in the analysis, preparation and filing of regulatory reports required by bodies overseeing utility rates.
- Utilize regulatory standards, procedures, and processes to recommend process improvements as necessary.
- Prepare, maintain, and file tariffs.
- Monitor regulatory compliance of LPSC orders as they apply to Cleco and effect solutions to ensure compliance.
- Maintain, update, and enhance databases critical to economic analysis, financial analysis, and other research needed for regulatory compliance and company business and economic development.
- Perform forecasting and analytical services to support company development and growth.
- Prepare monthly unbilled revenue calculations.
- Prepare monthly Fuel and Environmental Cost Adjustments.
- Monitor, maintain, and ensure compliance with all SOX documented controls in the Regulatory area.
- Provide analysis and support to other company departments in dealing with rate‑related questions, data, and issues.
- Support the grid resiliency program by coordinating quarterly and semi‑annual compliance reporting from across the various lines of business and providing the calculation of semiannual grid resilience rates based on projected revenue requirements, and coordination of LPSC semi‑annual prudency review.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 3‑5+ years of related experience.
- Strong business acumen pertaining to the utility industry.
- Strong knowledge of leading practices in the regulatory utility area.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in utilizing analytical tools and database reporting.
