Full Charge Accountant

Job Description

We are a growing electrical service company specializing in field operations (electrical, construction, service contracts). Our team values accuracy, accountability, and collaboration — and we’re looking for a seasoned Full-Charge Accountant to level up our financial operations.

As our Full-Charge Accountant, you’ll be the financial backbone of the business, handling everything from day-to-day bookkeeping to tax compliance and financial forecasting.

You’ll Work With

• Project managers, operations teams, owners
• Quick Books Enterprise (or similar) on a daily basis
• External accountants and auditors

Core Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting: accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, reconciliations
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
• Oversee sales/use tax compliance
• Support budgeting and cash-flow planning
• Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting
• Prepare audit-ready books and assist external auditors
• Provide clear financial insight to leadership
• Monitor and maintain W9s for 1099 contractors

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience (full cycle) plus 3-4 years in construction/contracting experience
• Strong grasp of GAAP
• Proficient in Quick Books (Online/Desktop/Enterprise) & Excel Macros
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized, dependable, and proactive
• Strong communicator

Preferred

• CPA or Equivalent Certification (preferred but not required)
• Experience with service-driven or construction industry accounting
• Experience with multi-entity finances
