What You Do

Our Golf Operation is a high-performing, service-focused team committed to delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests. The golf team manages all aspects of daily operations with a focus on leadership, hospitality, and continuous improvement—ensuring every detail reflects Forest Creek’s standards of quality and community. As our Assistant Golf Professional, you will support our golf operations with excellence. This role calls for a coachable self-starter who has a love for golf, operations and service.

As a key figure in the golf department, our Assistant Golf Professionals assist the Golf Leadership team to oversee daily operations, support strategic initiatives, and step in seamlessly to support leadership in their absence. We expect the ideal candidate to learn and grow in this role over time, with support from the Leadership team to assist the candidate in achieving their long-term career goals.

This position plays a vital role in shaping the golf experience at Forest Creek through close collaboration with the entire club’s team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute assigned golf events, including preparation, day-of support, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Assist members with club fittings and product recommendations under the direction of the Golf Professional staff.
  • Support Outside Operations as needed, including bag drop, cart staging, and pace-of-play assistance.
  • Administer the Grip Program, including tracking, scheduling, and member communication.
  • Assist with Junior Certifications, maintaining accurate records and ensuring program requirements are met.
  • Serve as starter and/or ranger as assigned to support flow of play and member experience.
  • Support inventory management for assigned merchandise categories, including receiving, stocking, and communicating needs to Golf Leadership.
  • Act as a role model for professionalism, service standards, and club policies in all member and team interactions.
Leadership and Teamwork
  • Model professionalism and leadership by setting a positive example for the team and coming to work each day with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrate a respectful, motivating culture through coaching, communication, and collaboration.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with staff, members, and member’s guests.
  • Complete tasks and provide timely updates to the leadership team.
  • Maintain a reliable, hands‑on presence to support daily operations.
What You Bring
  • PGA Class “A” Member or Associate in good standing, previous private club experience preferred.
  • Ability to curate a welcoming, community-focused environment through hospitality and professionalism.
  • Focus on delivering consistent service and operational excellence.
  • Willingness to learn and assist in all aspects of the golf operation. This includes but is not limited to retail operations, special orders, inventory management, and merchandise presentation.
  • Manage tee sheets, club systems (e.g., Club Essential, Golf Genius), and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Ability to maintain a visible, engaging presence on the course and range, building rapport with members and playing golf with all categories of member.
  • Self‑starter with regard to all tasks.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience in cross‑departmental coordination.
  • Strategic thinking in enhancing instructional and retail programs to elevate member experience.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hands‑on approach to daily operations and teamwork.
