ResponsibilitiesCVT is an 18-bed acuity adaptable unit specializing cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and management of Intra‑aortic balloon pumps, and Impella devices. Nurses develop strong assessment skills and become experts at managing drip titrations, chest tubes, and ventilators.
With the acuity adaptable approach, nurses manage care of the patient requiring open heart surgery from admission through discharge. This setting provides for efficient patient care and strengthens the nurse/patient relationship. Nurse are required to obtain and maintain ACLS certification.
QualificationsWill be working 72/hrs per pay period as a staff RN for 12 weeks. Benefit status is consistent with casual part time benefits.
Former FHC employees and current agency staff are also eligible to apply.
At least 2 year recent ICU experience required. NC RN License or Multistate RN License required.
