We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical‑Surgical Nurse to join our blended‑care healthcare team, which consists of RNs, LPNs, Nurse Externs, and CNAs. First Surgical is a 27‑bed general surgical unit that cares for a variety of specialty surgical patients, as well as medical patients and those requiring wound care.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure effective care coordination.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.

• Valid NC LPN license, RN license or Compact State RN license required.
• BCLS required.
• One year of experience in medical‑surgical nursing (preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
