We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our blended-care healthcare team, which consists of RNs, LPNs, Nurse Externs, and CNAs. First Surgical is a 27-bed general surgical unit that cares for a variety of specialty surgical patients, as well as medical patients and those requiring wound care.
Responsibilities· Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.
· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
· Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately.
· Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure effective care coordination.
· Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
· Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications· Valid NC LPN license, RN license or Compact State RN license required
· BCLS required
· One year of experience in medical-surgical nursing (preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply)
· Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
