Patient Transporter

Join our dedicated team as a Patient Transport Specialist at First Health of the Carolinas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe transport of patients to and from the operating room. Your communication skills, physical endurance, and attention to detail will help provide an excellent patient care experience.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Communicate patient care needs effectively to clinical staff.
• Maintain transport equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Collaborate with medical staff for smooth workflow.
• Assist in patient movement and positioning as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical experience preferred.
• Nursing Assistant Level I certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Physical requirements include stamina to walk or stand long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and good coordination.
