Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed. Must be highly proficient with emergency nursing clinical skills. Effective problem solving, critical thinking skills and a willingness to adapt to a changing work environment required. Must be an effective team‑oriented leader, assisting and mentoring others to facilitate patient customer satisfaction. Maintains clinical and professional evidence‑based competency levels required of age‑specific populations.
Must be able to identify appropriate staffing, supply, maintenance, and equipment needs and adjust as necessary within budgetary guidelines.
Education/formal training/licensure/certification experience:
- Current North Carolina RN license or RN multi‑state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact required.
- Must have at least one (1) year previous leadership experience.
- Certification in specialty area preferred.
- BSN or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in an emergency department.
