Mammo Tech Job Summary
- Operates mammography equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing breast imaging exams.
- Perform and assess quality control measures on equipment and procedures.
- Determines how the technique selections affect optimal image quality.
- Follows policy and procedures.
- Ability to navigate on-line resources pertinent to job responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate with other individuals; visual acuity; ability to lift and move patients; push and pull wheelchairs and stretchers; withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting or sitting; ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
- Opportunity to cross-train in diagnostic imaging in ED and with portables.
- Ability to work weekends and shift rotations.
Mammo Tech Qualifications
- ARRT registered RT-(R) (M) and meet MQSA standards for performing mammography.
- Maintains certification in BLS.
- Personal computer skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Display critical thinking and decision-making skills.
