PositionThe position will be filled as a Meter Tester 1st year – Meter Repairman depending on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain and test all instrument transformer rated meters.
- Test, verify and troubleshoot all System tie points.
- Install and monitor all load research equipment. Troubleshoot communications of remote metering.
- Perform vector, load analysis and power factor tests on all metering installations.
- Calculate meter constants on all types of installations.
- Operate packaged meter and recorder software applications.
- Prepare service orders, TRADE sheets and associated paperwork for transformer rated meters.
- Distribution Line outage restoration, such as scouting and logistics.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a good safety record and possess a safe attitude.
- Must have competent computer skills.
- Must have competent Mathematics and Trigonometry skills.
- Knowledge of basic electric circuit analysis, vector phase or relationship.
- Knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Must be customer oriented.
- Must be able to work in industrial and petrochemical plants.
- Must be a self‑starter, dependable, have the ability to plan and organize.
- Salary and Classification will depend on knowledge and experience.
Associate Degree (technical or vo‑tech) and/or 3 years Utility Metering Experience.
