Meter Tester 1st YR - Meter Repairman

The position will be filled as a Meter Tester 1st year – Meter Repairman depending on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

• Install, maintain and test all instrument transformer rated meters.
• Test, verify and troubleshoot all System tie points.
• Install and monitor all load research equipment. Troubleshoot communications of remote metering.
• Perform vector, load analysis and power factor tests on all metering installations.
• Calculate meter constants on all types of installations.
• Operate packaged meter and recorder software applications.
• Prepare service orders, TRADE sheets and associated paperwork for transformer rated meters.
• Distribution Line outage restoration, such as scouting and logistics.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a good safety record and possess a safe attitude.
• Must have competent computer skills.
• Must have competent Mathematics and Trigonometry skills.
• Knowledge of basic electric circuit analysis, vector phase or relationship.
• Knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Must be customer oriented.
• Must be able to work in industrial and petrochemical plants.
• Must be a self‑starter, dependable, have the ability to plan and organize.
• Salary and Classification will depend on knowledge and experience.

Associate Degree (technical or vo‑tech) and/or 3 years Utility Metering Experience.
