Responsibilities
  • Design single phase and three-phase pole and pad-mount distribution transformers according to customer and industry specifications (IEEE, ANSI, DOE, CSA).
  • Prepare drawings, data schedules, nameplate details, and bills of materials for customer approval and manufacturing release.
  • Review designs and winding specifications to ensure compliance with design rules and standards.
  • Perform fuse coordination as required.
  • Recommend material substitutions when necessary tooptimizedesign.
  • Provide shop support to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assist Quality Control (QC) in diagnosing electrical failures during testing.
  • Support sales and marketing with technical documentation and drawings for bids and proposals.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience (with Electrical Engineering degree)
  • Expertise in single and three-phase pole-mount and pad-mount distribution transformers, 167kVA and above required
  • Transformer coil design and protection for medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) applications.
  • Basic electrical testing of transformer coils and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD andSolid

    Edge.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., INFOR).

  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
