Job Summary:
The Clinical Engineer/Biomedical Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of medical equipment and technologies used in healthcare settings. This role combines engineering principles with practical technical skills to ensure the safe and effective operation of medical devices.
Clinical Engineer
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical or Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related field preferred.
- Ability to work under high stress situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including Physicians, Nurses and other Clinical Engineering staff.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- 3+ years’ experience in Clinical Engineering or Bio-medical equipment preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in Electronic Engineering preferred
- 3+ years’ experience with PC-based word processors and spreadsheets preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in data entry preferred
- This is a safety sensitive position.**
