- Care of critically ill patients
- Airway Management- basic and advanced
- Pain Management
- Cardiac Monitoring
- Cardiac Care
- Post-operative vascular surgery care/Recovery
- Neurological, neurovascular, orthopedic care
- Gastrointestinal care
- Pulmonary/respiratory care
- Genitourinary/renal care
- Enteral Nutrition
- Skin assessment/care
- Central Venous catheter care and maintenance
- Specialized IV Drips/Titration
- Medication administration
- Information Management
- IV Therapy
- IVADD
- Transfusion Therapy
- Invasive Monitoring
- Waive Testing
- Sedation
- Assist with specialized procedures
- Use specialized equipment in the care of critically ill patients
- Manages Code Blue in the May Tower/Pediatrics
- Admission/discharge criteria
- Troubleshooting
- Infection Control
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
- Manages Code Blue for inpatient areas
- Attends all mandatory education and in-services
Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, within established standards and practices for assigned patients.
Essential Functions- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care as indicated.
- Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re-assessments as per policy.
- Provides individualized, age-specific care that supports hemeostatic regulation, hemodynamic monitoring and physiologic functioning.
- Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
