Part Time Human Resources Manager - Baltimore, MD

About the Company and Part Time Human Resources Manager Opportunity:
  • CFS is partnering with a great non profit client to find a Part Time Human Resources Manager to join their team!
    • This position will begin on a contractual basis and can become permanent for the selected candidate depending on performance and fit
  • This is a unique opportunity to step into a one-person HR office, where you’ll manage day-to-day HR and payroll operations and support mission-driven staff
  • Position is 100% in office in Baltimore County, MD to start with flexibility for hybrid after training
    • Schedule:

      Work between 8:30am-5pm M-F 20-25 hours per week (with optional every other Friday off)
    • Candidates must be okay working an occasional Saturday shift (once per month)
    • Candidates must be local to the area and have reliable transportation. Free parking!
  • Reports to the CEO
  • Pay: $30-36/hour

Job Duties of the Part Time Human Resources Manager:

  • Manage HR operations including employee relations, compliance, policies, and benefits
  • Act as backup for Payroll Coordinator, overseeing payroll for ~75 staff and creating payroll schedules
  • Lead onboarding and assist with hiring processes, including occasional Saturday orientations for residential staff
  • Partner with managers to address staffing needs and provide HR guidance
  • Travel between corporate office and residential sites to connect with employees and support staff needs

Qualifications for the Part Time Human Resources Manager:

  • 4+ years of HR experience required
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, benefit administration, employment law, and compliance
    • Knowledge of payroll processing a plus
  • Experience using Infinisource/iSolved a plus, but not required
  • SHRM certification a plus, but not required
  • Prior nonprofit or healthcare industry experience is helpful, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
  • Management experience not required
