Overview
Candidates must reside in Maryland only.
Responsibilities- The Medical Billing Specialist files timely and complete appeals electronically, telephonically, or manually in accordance with payer guidelines.
- Using a thorough understanding of payer contracts and claims analysis, the Medical Billing Specialist determines why the claims were denied or underpaid and requests claims adjudication corrections.
- Provides supporting documentation or refers payers to reimbursement agreements for the resolution of nonpayment.
- Billing Specialist researches and pursues reimbursement for medical claims that were denied or did not receive payment and also completes monthly audits.
- Provides a spreadsheet of supporting documentation of reimbursement of claims billed or in process on a bi-weekly basis.
- MUST KNOW MARYLAND MEDICARE BILLING SYSTEM/AVAILITY SYSTEMS.
- MUST KNOW ICAN NOTES.
- MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OR MORE EXPERIENCE.
- MUST BE WILLING TO WORK IN OUR OFFICE TWO DAYS A WEEK.
