About the RoleWe are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing commercial team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential brand clients, introducing them to our sampling proposition and creating qualified opportunities for the sales team. As an SDR, you will play a critical role in generating interest, building relationships, and booking meetings that directly contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to tailor outreach and messaging effectively.
- Lead Generation: Identify, research, and target potential brand clients aligned with the sampling proposition.
- Outbound Outreach: Conduct proactive outreach via email and social media to introduce sampling solutions and generate interest.

Qualification:
Engage prospects to understand their needs, assess suitability, and qualify them as potential clients. - Meeting Booking: Secure meetings and calls with key decision-makers to explore the sampling proposition in more detail.
- Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless handover of qualified leads and support successful sales conversations.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, lead interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales colleagues to refine outreach strategies and provide feedback on lead quality and market insights.
- Reporting: Deliver regular reports on outreach activity, performance, challenges, and successes to the South African line manager and both SA and UK sales teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence engaging with decision-makers at brand level
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Target-driven and resilient, with a proactive mindset
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital outreach tools
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
