Position Highlights:
Oversee outpatient oncology program inclusive of clinic, lab draw, and infusion treatments as well as programming associated with oncology. May be eligible for $2,500 relocation bonus.

Non-RN Clinic Manager | Avera Cancer Institute

What you will do
  • Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including nursing, business office, and medical staff relations. Provides nursing service on an as needed basis to meet the needs of the clinic.
  • Manages, supervises, and coordinates day-to-day operations of the clinic to include financial management, maintenance of the operating budget, expense management, staffing, and services offered by the clinic. Ensure the clinic operates efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics, and answers correspondence. Identifies operational problems and resolves issues or escalates to leadership.
  • Assists leadership with preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and business plans. Recommends facility improvements including construction, renovation, and equipment purchases.
  • Ensures clinic operations align with the organization’s mission, values, and philosophies.
  • Ensures clinic compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies; initiates changes as appropriate.
  • Maintains open, professional communication with providers daily and involves providers on issues affecting the clinic as appropriate.
  • Coordinates with leadership on monitoring medical activities to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care. Ensures credentialing and licensure are maintained.
  • Administers staffing plan to operate efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Resolves medical-administrative problems and maintains staff communications to ensure high employee morale and a professional clinic atmosphere.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and professional development to stay current with healthcare trends. Attends meetings as necessary to maintain operational knowledge.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, retaining employees; planning, assigning, leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
