An industry leading manufacturer and distributor is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the Piedmont, SC area.
If you have at least 5 years of diesel mechanic experience and are highly skilled in electrical, as well as aftertreatment components in CAT, Cummins, and Detroit engines

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on trucks and equipment.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
- Prepares and administers an operating budget for the service department.
- Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the factory.
- Monitors service board and production board/schedule to anticipate workload.
- Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports and tracking systems.
- Get trucks into the shop if necessary and coordinate/assign mechanics to jobs.
- Coordinates workloads based on technicians’ skill levels and availability.
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
- Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
- Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order.
- Quality Control
- Other tasks as assigned.
