An industry leading manufacturer and distributor is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team in the Piedmont, SC area.

If you have at least 5 years of diesel mechanic experience and are highly skilled in electrical, as well as aftertreatment components in CAT, Cummins, and Detroit engines

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on trucks and equipment.
• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
• Trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
• Prepares and administers an operating budget for the service department.
• Maintains reporting systems required by general management and the factory.
• Monitors service board and production board/schedule to anticipate workload.
• Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports and tracking systems.
• Get trucks into the shop if necessary and coordinate/assign mechanics to jobs.
• Coordinates workloads based on technicians’ skill levels and availability.
• Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
• Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
• Informs repair technicians of time allowances on each repair order.
• Quality Control
