Manufacturing Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

. The program is designed to provide students with hands‑on experience working alongside experienced maintenance professionals at our Piedmont site.

Responsibilities- Install, recondition, repair, and troubleshoot various types of mechanical, electrical, and process control equipment.
- Rebuild equipment to meet original manufacturer standards and specifications, ensuring proper clearances and tolerances.
- Install rotating equipment and perform precision tool use and laser alignments.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Utilize industrial shop tools, portable tools, instruments, and calibrators safely and effectively.
- Learn about carbon fiber and composite material manufacturing, associated equipment, and maintenance best practices.
- Test designs and solutions in real‑life applications.
- Present updates on projects at weekly team meetings.
- Work part‑time (20‑30 hours/week) while attending college, with potential to work up to 40 hours during class breaks.

- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent program at Greenville Technical College.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher throughout the program.
- Strong academic standing and attendance in the technical program.
- Attach current transcript or high‑school transcript if applicable.
- Pass pre‑employment screening (physical, background check, drug test, respirator fit).
- Work safely in a safety‑sensitive environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to: stand and walk on concrete floor 75% of the time; lift and carry up to 50 lbs; push or pull up to 100 lbs; climb stairs, ladders, or platforms; work at heights; stoop, kneel, crouch; inspect and assess product quality.
- Experience working around hazardous chemicals, using a respirator or self‑contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
