As a Controls Engineer, you will lead the design, programming, and optimization of automation systems to support manufacturing efficiency and product quality. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information
* Primary
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
* Training
Shift: 1st shift for the first 1-2 months
* Additional:
May require remote weekend support if production is running
Required
Education and Experience
* Minimum 2 years of experience programming and integrating Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Vision Systems (Keyence, Cognex)
* Proficiency with AutoCAD drawings and system schematics
* Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Solid understanding of electrical/mechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and automation principles
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to mentor and influence across departments
Preferred
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
* A combination of education and 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Essential Functions
* Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for automation equipment, including robots
* Design, program, and optimize Vision Systems, PLCs, and HMIs to improve efficiency, uptime, and product quality
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, install, and commission new automation systems
* Lead or support capital projects related to automation and robotics, including vendor selection and implementation
* Deliver training to operations and maintenance personnel on system use, safety, and maintenance best practices
* Manage and execute engineering changes and process improvements to increase reliability and reduce downtime
* Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve manufacturing competitiveness
* Develop and maintain preventive maintenance standards for automation equipment
* Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to implement cost-saving opportunities
* Prepare progress and project status reports for leadership
* Support weekend operations remotely when required
* Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned
