Job Title: School Nurse
Qualifications: Credentials, as required by the State of Oklahoma
Reports to: Executive Director of Personnel
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for the health programs and related needs of the students.
- Participates in placement meetings when appropriate.
- Conducts health screenings and makes appropriate referrals.
- Reports to parents and school personnel information pertinent to health care.
- May administer medications in accordance with Board policy.
- Attends meetings and conferences regarding health services.
- Authorizes exclusion and readmission of students with infectious and contagious conditions according to Piedmont Public Schools health guidelines.
- Prepares and submits reports as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Evaluation: Evaluation by site principal in accordance with BOE policy
Physical Demands:
- Ability to routinely and continually bend, squat, stand, walk, or climb stairs.
- Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather.
