Front Desk Patient Coordinator
Pacesetter Health – Pickerington, OH
The Patient Coordinator is responsible for managing patient appointments, answering patient inquiries, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. The Coordinator works closely with healthcare providers to provide optimal service for all of our patient needs.
Job Essential Functions and Duties- Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
- Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent manner using proper telephone etiquette.
- Be courteous; greet each patient with a smile and polite conduct.
- Register new patients and update established patient demographics, collecting copays, balances, insurance cards, and entering information into the EHR.
- Facilitate patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, checking the patient into the EHR, notifying the patient of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical support staff.
- Keep medical office supplies adequately stocked, anticipating inventory needs and notifying the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized reception area.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Manage faxes and return voicemails from patients.
- Send outbound referrals when asked by the physician.
- Other tasks assigned by management.
- Experience with Mod Med EHR system is a plus but not required.
- Good listener.
- Proper phone etiquette.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great personality and dependability.
- Approach tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

- Frequently required to stand and walk; occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
- Monday through Friday; no weekends.
