Responsibilities And Duties- Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual.
- Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems.
- Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes; revises plan of care as needed as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Leadership - Participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Operations - Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
- Provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards.
- The RN delegates tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using criteria in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- BSN required at 5 years of employment.
