Key Responsibilities:
Operate Elumetec saw equipment safely and efficiently.Read and interpret Travelers /BOM / Drawings to determine material dimensions and cutting requirements.Measure and mark material for cutting with high accuracy using tape measures, calipers, and other tools.Select appropriate saw blades and machine settings based on material type and desired cut.Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on saw equipment.Assist with unloading, storing, and organizing raw material stock as needed.Collaborate with team members in fabrication, assembly, and finishing departments.Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors immediately.Qualifications & Experience
Required:
2-5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred.Prior experience operating band saws and understanding cutting techniques is a strong asset.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong measurement and math skills; capable of working in both imperial and metric units.Manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.Commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting production deadlines.Knowledge of sign industry materials.Competencies
