Become a Cloud Operations Analyst - Temporary Assignment up to 6 Months with MPAC

You are a technically curious IT professional with a strong interest in cloud technologies and operational excellence. You enjoy troubleshooting complex issues, analyzing system performance, and working collaboratively with teams to improve reliability and efficiency. With a strong analytical mindset and customer-focused approach, you help ensure cloud services remain stable, secure, and optimized for performance and cost.

• Post secondary degree/diploma in a related field, completed or in progress
• Minimum 3 years of experience within IT required, preferably supporting a Cloud native environment
• Knowledge of IT systems environments including operating systems, networking, applications, platforms, and databases;
• Knowledge and experience with scripting and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience supporting cloud governance, compliance monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives
• Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines, configuration management, and automated monitoring tools
• Demonstrated experience analyzing cloud usage metrics, cost reports, and capacity trends to support optimization initiatives
• Working knowledge of AWS cost management, monitoring, and reporting tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Cloud Watch, Trusted Advisor)
• Experience modifying cloud configurations and resources using infrastructure-as-code or scripting tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues
• Good attention to detail and judgement to determine when to elevate service issues to senior technical staff
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with the willingness to share ideas and solutions to technology challenges
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience providing quality customer service is essential
• Perform duties off hours and on an on-call basis as required

• Intermediate Cloud Certification; certification in AWS

• Provide front-line technical support to MPAC staff for cloud services, systems, and applications
• Investigate alerts, participate in incident response, and support problem identification, isolation, and resolution within the cloud infrastructure
• Support cloud resource monitoring by analyzing compute, storage, and networking utilization to identify optimization opportunities
• Assist with cloud capacity planning and usage reporting by reviewing trends and preparing analysis to support operational decisions
